TOKYO: Thailand’s Poonsawat Kratingdaeng successfully defended his World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight title on Monday, defeating Japan’s Satoshi Hosono.
Two US judges scored the bout 115-113 and 114-114, while the South Korean judge counted it 117-113 for the defending champion, giving him a 2-0 decision.
The 29-year-old Thai boxer, who took the title in September last year, stretched his record to 40 wins, including 28 KOs, against one defeat.
